Re: Forthcoming: Swedish Fighter Colours 1926 - 1954

They look they same but that doesn't mean they fly the same ;-) Almost all my knowledhe about WW2 aircraft performance comes from IL-2 1946 and this one wasn't in it.

For those who are interested in J21, the Editor confirms that there is indeed a J21 in the new book, but a model A, with propellers
For special issue about J21, you have this book:
    MMP Books
    All the best.

Hi guys, for your information "Swedish Fighter Colours" is now avalable:
    MMP Books
Amazon.com: SWEDISH PISTON FIGHTER COLOURS: 1925 - 1954 (White Series (Rainbow)) (9788361421726): Mikael Forslund, Thierry Vallet: Books

    Wlad

"This book describes and illustrates all the fighter aircraft used by the Swedish armed forces from the mid-‘20s until the end of the piston-engine era. These include indigenous designs, plus the various American, Italian and British fighters used at various times. Camouflage and marking schemes used on these aircraft are covered in detail, illustrated with many photos including rare wartime colour pictures. "

Seriously though I am looking forward to getting my copy and if you haven't ordered one yet then why not?

Copy arrived today and it really is a nice book full of profiles by someone called Thierry, no idea who he is but you could learn from him Wlad :P

Seriously it's a great book, hardback for a change and well worth it. Lots of Mustang photos and all a bit different from the usual Yankee stuff.

Yo !!!!!!! Thanks a lot inkworm for so nice comments ! But I must say that your aircraft profils were really good too, dear Inkworm !
I hope readers will like it too, but I confirm, it's a very good book on this subject, write by a swedish expert, full of original pictures (some in colors) and top profils !

I know that you are the "Black Crosses" expert !, but in the book you will only find crown, but some Chris's profiles have skull and crossbones on side. Is it enough for you ?
