Thread: FW190D-13

    Re: FW190D-13

The D-13 has a flat upper cowling instead of the bulge the D-9 has so comparing it to the photos of Yellow 10 seems to be as good as I'm going to get. Normally wouldn't show but considering how much 'fun' I've had on this one a last opinion before it goes to print wouldn't hurt this time. Plus by the time it's out I'll have forgotten I've done it!

    Re: FW190D-13

Inkworm, I know the difference between a D-9 and D-13 as I'm generally interested in german Luftwaffe planes. I mean that the engine itself is too fat, also I think shape should be in a straight line from the engine to the front windscreen.

I have just compared your profile with this:

BTW: the wing should be RLM 75 and natuarl metal, but at the restored plane they painted it RLM76 instead of natural metal.

Sorry thought you were talking about the general upper shape. So did it differ much from the D-9 shape which seems to have a good bulge? Hopefully this is better

Clearly I need to work on the reflection of the underside It is meant to be NMF but creating a large flat reflective surface on the underside which is in shadow isn't the easiest of things, but open to suggestions.
