Ring dada ding, ring dada dada ding dahdahdah ding.
All the James Bond hype and the recent thread about the BD-1 has set the juices flowing again.
Due to the new Mac Mini and Mountain Lion not liking my CS3 and Bryce programs and not having the wherewithal's for a new set of licenses I downloaded the trial for CS6, so it's gonna be a race to finish before the trail runs out.
I started to research about my favorite James Bond gadget, the Wallis WA-116 Agile aka. "Little Nelly"
Tis slim pickings for good quality HiRes stuff on the web so I thought I would do a scratch build, there are one or two good things from Flight international and some random pics but nothing really worked.
Somebody said that you can't draw what you don't understand and it's taken a while to figure out how this thing works.
So here is the first offering.

FAST AND BULBOUS!
Heh, heh, Slammer. Nice to see you addicted
Welcome in Her Majesty service!
Looking forward to see this little jewel in progress
Just came across some weird idea.
Can we make something like groupbuild on scale modelers forums?
If there is some interest to draw profile of any of the numerous vehicles used by 007 or the bad guys
Some kind of celebration of the 50 years of James Bond movies.
Or am I just loosing my mind![]()
Is this a proper side profile or perspective, the far wheel looks higher so would make for an uneven landing, might need to watch the film again.
Also it's facing the wrong way![]()
Harriers...uppy downy things.
That's why it looks odd, sure it'll all make sense once done
Harriers...uppy downy things.
Ufff! Just had a spike in the blood pressure thinking I had saved the web version on top of the HiRes, Whew! Dodged that bullet.
Had some fun arming Little Nelly and I wanted to do a circular brushed aluminum look for the engine cowling, that was a bitch until I figured it out.
sweet "Little Nellie". I'm nosy seeing Sean Connery (The best Bond actor ever I think.) in the cockpit.
Great start, maybe check the yellow again.
Cheers, Simon
The yellow was a problem indeed, all the pictures you find display a different tone, no two are alike, no ICC profiling in them days, I tried looking for the original Airfix specs but gave up.
I may tone it down later.
