fs2004 and PSD help
Hi all
Wonder if any one could help.
Im trying to repaint the Carenado C182Q using the Carenado paint kit and Photoshop.
im trying to add a small image and text to the aircraft, problem is when i load the aircraft in flightsim it looks pretty blurred, if i make the image bigger and say stick it on the top of the wing, it looks fine, same for the text. is there any way to over come this with out having the image and text so big?
Ive tried DXT3 and Extended 32bit 888-8 but it hasnt made any difference
Hope someone can help
Paul

Re: fs2004 and PSD help
Hi and welcome to SPS,
Could the issue be mip maps? I recall this causing blurring aircraft textures a few times when I repainted in FS2004. Take a look at my tutorial linked below, and see if it helps:

Re: fs2004 and PSD help
Thanks for the reply, i did have a look at the tutorials just out of general interest really.
I many not have explained myself very well

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
This is me zoomed in to 500% as you can see theres a good loss of detail at this level, rivets are just black pixels ect. what id like to be able to do is not have such a loss of detail. not even sure if thats possible tho to be honest.
Thanks again
Paul
