void difficult to distinguish
I am new to gimp and have just learnt how to use the void skin as a starting point for creating my own skins. I have created a few- not to a great standard but it is good enough for me. I now want to use the La 7 as my plane. The void skin for this has all the parts of the plane running into each other so is very hard to use for a beginner. Is there any way of separating the different parts or is there a different void skin where the parts are not joined together so much? I notice lots of other planes have void skins that are much easier to work on.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Re: void difficult to distinguish
Welcome deskpilot,
Take a look at the templates here. You can learn a lot from them.
To find out what part is where, you can use the panelfinder, which you also can download from the site. http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/foru...at-general-12/
Here are some instrucions on using it: http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/foru...nder-tool-456/
If you search on this site, you can find a few more topics on this little tool.
