It's very very difficult to make "clean" white aircraft. You have made it very good! Bravo!![]()
Hi guys,
Finished a project I'd started nearly a year ago; the Falcon 900.
Civilian OE-ISM
France's ETEC 00.065 "Villacoublay" operates Falcon 900 n°4. This is the new livery (late 2012), which looks much nicer than the previous one IMHO.
I still find white aircraft tricky to do, but I was satisfied with the printed result. I'll be doing at least another one from the French AF, and maybe a few other ones (Italian and Spanish AF for example).

Thanks, Maciej.
I think the trick is using very light grey and playing with the highlight and shadow layers a lot until the desired result is achieved. I'm sure if I were to do one which is dark, I'd have to redo the shading quite a bit.
Very nice, Gaėtan.
It looks like you've captured the complex, subtle shape around the top engine very well.
You're right about white, I use a mix of about 5% everything, so it doesn't tend to grey too much when I shade.
Grubby.
Nice clean (in a good way) work.
Thankfully there aren't a lot of aircraft that hold my interest that are pure white, so the vagaries of working with that colour don't apply to me.
