My next adventure, I have been working on the drawings for these.

FAST AND BULBOUS!
Nice! I like that you aren't afraid of the more obscure types. I guess even the ugly ones need some loving.
How many masks are involved thus far? Not one I hope.
Obscure types might limit critique, not really, I've accumulated a rather large number of photos of this bird as well as O-46, O-43, O-38, B-18, XFMs, P-26, P-6,
F-8C and a few others while in the service (USAF) and National Guard. Many were obtained dumpster diving to save them from destruction, lack of storage space for the old negatives and prints when new photo equipment came in, also printed old Negs while in the service from 3 duty stations. Then there is also ebay, and friends like Merle Olmstead (crew chief with the 357th FG ) (some good DH-4, X-1 shots) who passed away 4 years ago and author–photographer Bill Larkins. I’ll post a tribute to Merle somewhere on site, I don’t know where yet, he gave me a parchment list with the serial numbers and locations of every A/C in army service in 1927. Merle also did some profiles.
There is 5 masks for the canopy alone, 9 total so far. What do I need to do to bring these down in size and give them the yellow bar to enlarge when posting. These are a little large, I size them down to post, 200dpi x 2” high. The B-18s where the same. The B-18 was my third profile, I also started with the poorly painted B5N Kate. My first was actually F-111F hand painted while I was in the service in 1971.

5 masks in the canopy? How do you manage to have so many? I'd just get lost with that much going on.![]()
Harriers...uppy downy things.
In case I want Wheels up, canopy open etc., this is a crude example horridly put together to show you the flexability I want with the drawing and profile. Alot more work on the front end.
I've created a load of photoshop actions for flattening and resizing duplicates.
With the masks are they vector or raster?

Thanks. That's what I wanted to see, I like to have the same flexibility with my work. Open/closed, up/down etc etc.
I find that the more that you break it down to individual components the easier it is to make the inevitable corrections to your shapes.
My Dauntless thread may be of interest.
