Seriously though, download the free, fully functional 30 day trial and have a play around. If you can't see any gains for yourself after 30 days then perhaps it might be worth sticking with PSP?![]()
I have been playing around with the idea of robbing the piggy bank to replace my Paint Shop Pro with Photoshop. With that in mind I want to ask your opinions about what, if anything will be gained in moving to Photoshop.
Regards

Also take a look at Gimp while you are considering a change.
Note that the latest Gimp version 2.8 for Windows gives me quite a few irritating problems. Panning the image view causes massive image tearing, the brush outline is unusably sluggish, and a few other things.
Because of this, I have gone back to Gimp 2.6 and which still works fine.
As to Photoshop, I have used a few versions over the years, and owned Photoshop Elements 2 as my daily graphics program. The primary gains with Photoshop are well established tools for professional printing, IMO. An assurance that your embedded color profiles from a "less common" graphics editor will not pose problems for a professional printer who uses Photoshop themselves.
Photoshop also has (compared to Gimp anyway) a more smoothly integrated effects system, and offers effects, styles, and adjustments on the layer level. Photoshop also offers a broad selection of plugins, both free and commerical.
Thank you guys for your input. I have Gimp and use it to convert some pad's to psp.
