    Hawker Hurricane II

I've got some Hurricanes on the way, too.

    Re: Hawker Hurricane II

I was going to say there seems to be something a bit off with the engine silhouette (not the Volkes radiator), but that might simply be that it's too early yet to really see how it will shape out.

I'll be keeping my eyes on this one, as I'm supposed to do the Mk I in the near future.

Nice to see you getting back to the more 'traditional' profile.

I'm always curious about how everybody else goes about this stuff, so can I ask how many masks, separate groups are being used at this stage?

I'd say there was too much gap on the radiator but that is just a first impression, would have to check photos.

What scheme will it be? Some high gloss white civvy thing???

    Hi Guys,

I think you are right about the radiator, Inky. Looking at my linework, I think I have confused the bottom of a bomb pylon with the top edge of the radiator intake..

GFR, I have 20 layers split over 7 folders and sub-folders so far.

Gamary, I'll keep an eye on the engine. It may be lack of exhausts makes it look strange so far.

I know I have completely missed the curve in the spine. That is one to fix straight away!

I'm still not happy with my profile and still haven't resolved the issue of the radiator but ran out of time and haven't been back to my profile since. None of the photos I have come across show it suitably.

Sure once the lines and detail start going in it'll have some form and look ok.

    I'll surely follow this thread.

Thanks. I'm sure that you know whats, what. When its one color I always get the impression that Its one giant very complicated mask.

Every layer gets a name, every folder gets a name. No exceptions!

    Re: Hawker Hurricane II

Nothing worse than layer 3 copy 9, you'd spend for ever trying to find the right layer. If I create a new layer and it doesn't say 'layer 1' I'll find the offending layer and rename it (not that it happens very often). Nested and named groups are the only way to efficiently manage workflow.
