Like allways very nice. Wich effect you use to achive this.

I mainly use earth textures clipped to size and given all sort of transparency.
It's important to place them in the right layer order behind any shade.
So you have (from back to front) original colour, weathering + shade.
Also, avoid overdoing (hard!) as this will spoil everything.
