I've recently found a book on camouflage in a second hand bookshop and although I've tweaked the odd skin or two, thought I might get into it a little deeper. This video is an attempt to persuade my family that this hobby is not just passive but creative as well. Since most of them don't know what a flightsim is I've included some in-game shots before trying to show how I research and paint a skin. Although not a tutorial in the strictest sense, it does show the processes involved in creating a C-47 skin. This particular skin of KLM DC-3 PH-ASK probably has little use in most scenarios, but it has been a good way to learn the 'tools of the trade' as it were.
So not so much a tutorial, more an overview of what we do
The finished skin should appear in the downloads section after it gets approved

Tell your family that I went from doing 2D art for sims to having a book published. Also, I learned A LOT about Photoshop skinning which helped me to get my current job
Fun video too
