    IFV VCC80 "DARDO"

    Hello everyone.
For some weeks, I am dedicated to creating a crawler belonging to the Italian army: the "Dardo". I have almost completed all and now I was preparing to color it in the type of staining which uses the 1st Regiment Bersaglieri in Afghanistan (photo attached). But now I have difficulty in finding the hex code of colors that you see on the photo attached. Some of you can help me ?.
    thanks for the attention

    Re: IFV VCC80 "DARDO"

Tonight I tried to seek some good color, but better than the attached file I have not found much. if someone knew a color table "standard" for the Italian tracked vehicles, do not hesitate to contact me
I have attached some preview of the work done so far.
    thanks again.

    This is a nato scheme:
    NATO Black - FS 37030
    NATO Green - FS 34094
    NATO Brown - FS 30140

For extra, not in this scheme:
NATO Earth Yellow - FS 30257

Hex values for FS colors can be found on our colors pages.

Mangas hello, you are a great artist (as many in this splendid site). I have always drawn profiles of helicopters (with the exception of a couple of fire trucks). I'm not a great designer. I put a lot of passion and so I always hope that my efforts will make smiling and satisfied those who ask me an (species) illustration.
just finished insert images, and if you want to advise me about how to make the best job, I will be really happy.
Greetings and thank you for your compliments
    see you soon

    Hello Serval,
Today I was lucky to see the DART in front of me.
I tried to measure the colors of the hull with the tones of Pantone (uncoated) and I found these codes:
Black: Pantone solid uncoated black neutral
Brown: Pantone Solid Uncoated 1545 U
green: Pantone solid uncoated 5743 U

the crawler had been painted recently, so I suppose that the colors with the light and shadows of the sun, have changed slightly.
in the next few days I will try to see what colors are better suited to the crawler, including the ones I've suggested you and those that I measured with the pantone.
Meanwhile I enclose a picture of the work on the tower.
    see you soon

    Re: IFV VCC80 "DARDO"

    here I am again.
after finishing the turret, I started coloring the side plates.
I made a small test to demonstrate what I wrote at the post No. 7.
On the attached file I have colored only a small part. inside the plate there are 4 colors. my question is about the brown: brown you see is of two types. the Federal Standard (886b58) and what I measured myself with Pantone (7f5631).
If I used the FS (886b58), the result would appear similar to brown using the Australian Army (or something similar). It does not seem to you ?.
It seems to me that that measured by me (7f5631) is more suitable. What do you think?
P.S. controlling the colors on the attached photo (taken from near) the brown right seems to FS (886b58), but the direct sunlight on the colors does not make them clearest?

    thanks again

    Lele

    Re: IFV VCC80 "DARDO"

Finally the dart is finished. a work full of unexpected events.
about the problem of the color I solved using this color scheme (HEX):
GREEN (4e5444) BROWN (886b58) BLACK (242325). attached the result.
Now insert dart's images completed, into appropriate section.

Thanks SERVAL for initial help with the color scheme.
    see you soon

Hello Lele. You don't need much of advice as you're making an amazing job on your own! I mean it.
The only thing I noticed so far is that the bars where the luggage is stored are just a little too thick comparing those on the photoes.
And I think you should make the joints of the tracks a little more detailed and protruded...
Other than that -- you're just excellent. Keep it up!
