    Reflective textures

Probably and old question but didn't see anything on it (tutorials,etc.).

I've tried to emulate Bill Lyons reflective textures but to no avail.

Added an Alpha channel but it comes up invisable texture.

Is there a tutorial, or good explanation available?

    thanks

    Re: Reflective textures

What game? Does it support alpha textures? It Targetware there needs to be some links to tell the game engine to look for the alpha...or something like that
I think it will be probably be a different set up in other games. Sometimes there needs to be a 3D material code.

    Re: Reflective textures

Very important indeed to know the game. simulation of reflections is very different in different games.

    There is a reflectionmap tutorial:

An environtmap ttutorial (also a kind of reflection) http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/foru...ps-fs2004.html

And how to make metal effects by simply drawing it:

All for different games and all different methods.
