I think the Torni is one of those that always will look slightly out in profile.

The Tornado wasn't the best look combat aircraft ever built. Start contrast with the Vulcan, which was pure elegance, and the Canberra, which combined great looks with sensational performance. Don't think the off-centre canopy of the final models worked aesthetically. The B-57 canopy was much better but still not as good as the original.

By any chance is that vulc 558 camouflage scheme looks familiar.

I've sat in the 558 at Bruntingthorpe whilst it was on engine test a few years back, I know one of the pilots that flew 558 whilst in service and he got me a sit in the back seat.
He has also asked me to profile the AC for the club ;-)

thats cool, i was a nipper when she last flew in the early nineties, and that plane was the very plane that inspired me to join the RAF. and when i heard she flew again this year i went and got drunk with some friends to celebrate.

Bit more work done after the hiccups my pc had last week... adjustments made on pc with a mark 1 calibration tool were succesfull..for now...

Tornado not pretty? I have to disagree. That and the Jaguar are two of my all time faves. I do like a plane with corners (Although you can keep the F117!), Possibly something to do with what was Sci-Fi when I was a kid (Star Wars, Dark Star, Battlestar Gallactica, that whole realisation that you don't need aerodynamics in space.)
