Well, you can record your actions (like in IL-2) with fraps.
Meanwhile recording your voice with a headset.
Or add your voice afterward with a tool like Windows Movie Maker
Hey all, as the title states it for me, how does one do this? Is there a program (preferably free) that can help with this? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Serval, I found a couple of programs after I posted, I hadn't considered fraps though.
I did a couple of little tests and such, a small 10 second video was 4.5 MB in size. I know there must be a way to reduce the size of it etc. I can't imagine what a 3 or 4 minute video would be in size.
It seems to me it might be easier and faster to make a video tutorial than a typed one. I had typed for about 2 hours yesterday, and took lots of screenshots, and I was only about 3 steps into the tutorial lol.
Yes, FRAPS doesn't compress the video.
Have some codec like Divx installed and with a program like Moviemaker you can save it in smaller size (pixel wise) and also test various compressions.
On my youtube page there is a FAVORITE it explaines how to get the best resolution for youtube, the guy is using Sony Vegas, very easy to find on the internet with bittorrent, as well you can get it as a trial from sony they are really good aobut that.
as far as what I use for screen capture I use Camtasia Studio from Tech Smith
Camtasia Studio Screen Recorder for Demos, Presentations and Training
grab the demo. try it out, you can prob find it from a P2P site. anyhow, when I get time i will try to make a demo on how to, I am just hard at work in the hotel so time is hard to find.
