Ooooh. I like the Aegean Ghost scheme will have to consider it for a future mod of the f-4 im currently working on. Does any body else have any of the other more obscure (to me ) Euro Phantoms, that they might care to share for future reference?
Some pointers
1. The highlight on the intake really give it the wrong shape. It's flat sided, your drawing makes it look like a semi circular form.
2. AFAIK all the F-4E's the Thunderbirds used had the earlier shorter muzzle brake.

Supah, the Thunderbird F-4E's actually had what looks like a fiberglass cover that went over the cannon. I just havent gotten around to that detail yet. As for the highlight on the cowl, I'll work on it here later while I'm redoing the lighting.
GFR, if youre wanting different camo than the usual SEA scheme that the USAF used, then there is the afore mentioned Aegean Ghost theme of the HAF, the USAF had some birds in Euro 1 camo, and then there is the desert camo of the IAF. If youre wanting one-of-a-kind schemes, heres some I found at airliners...

wh1skea,
Posting a few detail pics for your use on Gallery
Looking forward to your progress!
sweet! right now I'm try to work out the bare metal areas on the rear of the plane. It seems to be the most challenging part of the project. If anyone has any pointers for me, they'd be more than welcomed. I'll have some more WIP pics up today.
Here is that update:
First one is the F-4E in Aegean Ghost camo. The top one is the first attempt at shading/highlighting, the bottom, the current attempt. The second is an F-4E Thunderbird. Same deal, old on top, new on bottom. Main change is the look of the cannon.

Wh1skey, great picts, defiantly a lot of scope for future mods. as to the metal bare metal at the tail, what I do is break each panel down with a separate mask and shade each one individually(which I do for most major assemblies) it gives you a nice contrast for the different states of grime that bare metal inevitably has. Check out my Phantom, to see how I approached it and see if it might work for you.
I' glad to see that I am not the only one with the attention span of a gold fish here.![]()
