    Help with line art

Recently I did a C-17 profile and found out that the lines I used for the panel and the out line turned transparent when it is the only layer on the page. It seems that the line some how merged with the color how does this happen, because I never merged them manualy and they are still seperate layers. Only the lines have become transparent when on the screen by them selves.

Wow you lost me with that one, less you have linked them in some way?
You might find that you have made a copy of the lines by some short cut action and welded them to the painted layer. So infact you have two layers with lines on?
you could send me the psd if you feel brave?

Have you inadvertently changed the transparency or blending mode on the linework layer?

I'd look at the opacity slider and see where it is set

And, it's almost too easy to merge with key strokes too :P I do it all the time by accident. Remember if you merge a 50% layer and a 100% layer you'll end up with your 50% stuff as permanently 50% an a 100% layer
But, check the opacity and also layer type as well, it might be set to soft light or something

    A. Lock the original layer! PS has a funny habit of flicking back and forth. Locking a layer will prevent you from accidentally working on it.
    B. Check that you have opacity set at 100%, otherwise all your work will look ghosted
