I agree BH its a allot better than the emboss/bevel. Just takes a little longer to do but thats not a big deal. Let me ask another question do you all use 8 bit or 16 bit in photoshop. I running it at 16 bit now are there any benefits over 8 bit ?.
8-bit i find is ok for getting the bones done, once i get to detail i switch to 16bit which i've found shows the contrastinf better and the shading more crisp and less erm... Hazy, i'm sure an expert will enlighten you properly
Well, as far as I'm aware there are no consumer 16 bit graphics cards, and with LCD they are often only 8 bit or as low as 6 bit with dithering patters. My reading on 16 bit editing modes has seemed to indicate that there is no way to see the wider color range of a 16 bit image on a consumer 8 bit graphic system.
To compare actual 8 bit / 16 bit differences (outside histograms) you'll need to have prints done on a 16 bit printer/16 bit driver, right?
Cool I'm going to back it down to 8 bit. I'm sure the saving part will go a bit faster with that. Cause its super slow right now saving a 16 bit file.
Also after looking a little closer at some more tail pics I noticed that a few things that are still way off. I'm sitting here debating on fixing them before I continue on.
