Not a clue what you are talking about Adlab. I don't have a User Guide either. Oh well. I'll muddle along as best I can
Hey Otterkins, check your Photoshop Users Guide about the status bar, you can set it to provide various performance information as you work on the files. I am primarily a GIMP user right now, and there is a similar tool which is helpful with optimizing my largest files.

So how does one go about creating a scratch Disk for Paint shop Pro 9 and X2? I do not see an option in my preferences for creating one in either of my Paint Shop Pro softwares. I just installed a new second hard drive and want to use a portion of that for a scratch disk. Both are Raptors running at 10,000RPM. Main is 76Gig and Secondary is 150Gig.
Any help would be much appreciated!![]()
I don't use PSP any more to any extent. I have both PSP 7 and 10 (which I never use) so I'll go in and have a look. If it's anything like Photoshop and Illustrator, that option is found under "preferences". I'm told you only need to assign 4-6 Gigs for a scratch disk, but to be on the safe side I assigned a whole hard drive to it.....like 40 Gigs. Hope that helps you.
Yeah Kami, I do need those kind of image sizes. I can detail without loss at that size. For those I share my work with, they get very clean and crisp drawings. It makes the difference between a mediocre print and an awsome one. Minimum size for aircraft is 5000 px. Bombers get larger. I don't stint on my work.
