Looking good, Santo.
I find, though, that your panel lines are fighting against your shading. What blending mode do you have your panel line layer set to? It looks like Difference. Try Darken, Multiply or Overlay and see what you think.
Graeme.
Outstanding, santynus - I'm looking forward to seeing more.![]()

I hope now the Komet looking better
Cheers
You have me thinking now, Santino. I know that yellows and oranges tend to darken towards red, but how do reds shade/darken? I shouldn't think that one can just put some black on it, so I suppose one would have to play on tint and saturation as well?
Good job!![]()
i thing light reds would head towards clarets and crimsons, but what about dark redsahh the age old struggle of shading

Very pretty, that's really coming along nicely.
I would use multiply or at least darken for panel lines in this situation, too.
When I'm painting miniatures I use a very dark brown - like walnut stain or darker - to shade dark reds. I've never made a red airplane skin but I bet that would be close to right.![]()
Sehr gut!!
can't wait to see this one finished as stated ^ just above "sehr gut!" says it all![]()
hi santos,
i think the red one is absolutely perfect, you have caught the colour spot on, now lets see loads of camouflaged ones![]()
