King of Kings
As per usual I have become bored with the aircraft profiles that I have been working on of late, so I have re-invigorated another stalled project for now.
Colors and Zimmerit are only exercises at this stage, as I havent settled on a final scheme as yet. I wasn't happy with the look of the steel road wheels so I re-did em.
Looks very good. I love the way you work, segment by segment. My workflow is so radically different I barely understand how you do it, but I do like it.

Re: King of Kings
Thanks for the encouragement guys.
I pretty much went back and re-did most of the shapes and shading, so that I could get a factory fresh look. from there I can go to town, doing what I think I do best and grunge it up.
Gaetan, I would be interested in how you (or anybody else) goes about your work flow, do you work backward from a solid object? I cant image another way, other then the one I use. I might start a dedicated thread someplace here, so that I can see how everybody else goes about this dark art.
Dont look to hard at the accessories they are just slapped on at the moment to see how they look.
I wanna make tank!! I wanna make tank!!! ...this post make me feeling to try one, thought I will have to start in 2010 due to long list of "to do" profiles...SIGH!
GFR, my workflow involves adding new layers of detail one by one, not working segment per segment. Basically it looks like this:
Step 1 - "the grey blob", mother of all profiles
S2 - shape defined
S3 - Colour added, to have it look like a real a/c
S4 - All the little bits and pieces: prop ub, windows, instruments, guns, etc. I now have a brand new bird right out of the factory.
S5 - Weathering added to have it look more like a combat bird (too light here, but it's Doolittle's)
I'm thinking that your technique allows to focus on a specific point and hence not forget stuff. I often think to myself "I'll have to remember to do this/that when I create the relevent layer" and then forget (of course). But I like the "build-up", and I'm not sure I'd manage to work any other way. My "effect-by-effect" technique helps me keep coherent in the drawing style.

Re: King of Kings
Thanks Ga?tan, I find the way other people go about their work to be as fascinating as the work itself at times, yours seems quite lucid and straightforward, if you saw the convoluted, A.D.D like, way that I work, you would...
Anyway making slow but steady progress on the Tiger, heres the latest.
