Thread: King of Kings

Uh oh...time for the nitty picky
On your spare track links, you've got a really believable pitted cast effect. I think it should carry over on the edges too. You've got really super sharp edges on them. Shouldn't they be a bit softer and slightly pitted as well? They tend to look almost cut out now. Same with the track teeth and hook edges.

    FAST AND BULBOUS!

Well, each method has its advantages. For example: I'm nearly done with the side views of the Su-47, but I realized I'd forgotten several small things to do (antennas, etc.). I have to use the post-it function in PS more, because I never manage to remember every little detail.

Anyway, your technique is yielding fine results, so stick with it if you're comfortable using it.

It's a consequence of my shotgun work flow, I would have been working on this and thinking about starting the next piece. Cheers for bringing it to my attention. I'll fix it before I get around to attaching it to the turret sides.

I love armor especially german stuff. Panther Koenigstiger and Tiger I in that order are my favorites. It looks great so far my only suggestion is I believe all the roadwheels should be sitting flat on the tracks, this sucker weighed 70 tons or close to it.

i Prefer tank killers myself (being infantry in my job) lol where would you put a profile of a LAW 66 around here.. or an SA80A2, maybe even my personal rifle... the L96A1 best tank killer in my opinion was the Hetzer, mind you the 88's did a good job although being temporarily immobile

Returned to this as a diversion from the Dora on the other board. Most of the details are now in place, just have to do a little shading, and then I can choose a colour scheme/unit.

Nice! A little weathering/staining on the wheels, maybe?

Got to finish all the details, before I can turn my attention to the fun part and weather/stain it to my hearts content. Kinda like building a scale model, but easier.
