    Re: HH-60G PAVE HAWK (WIP)

Wow amazing profile! I am a chopper kind of guy, so this one really pulls my strings
I started a Black Hawk ... i'll probably never get it done. Used some wrong techniques ... and your AMAZING ones keep putting me off! haha

Great great detail on this bird

No one comes close to you in profiling, friend!! Begging your pardon, but for some reason my old eyes think it may be worth looking at the indicated areas on the HH. It appears that the length of the tail section is too long (might be an illusion because of the rotor not being on), the tail rotor pod looks big, and the pivot point of the horizontal might be lower than indicated in the art (look at the Gallery photo of the MH-60, first column, last row), so there is not a large gap between the surface and the lower fuselage fin.

In any event, a few suggestions for your consideration from a faithful disciple!!More! More!

Let's see....I made comparison. I think the horizontal is basically correct but suffers of a problem of perspective. It's has something like a camera distortion effect, as it was in the picture I took as reference. Unfortunately it's not easy to find a purely zenithal view of it. At the time I did it I had lack of images but now I think I ca put my hands on it and correct it.
The tail rotor bump...well, is not that prefect but size is pretty close... I have to adjust the position of the first round pivot (?) lowering it down a bit. THANKS!

    Ugo,

Here's a direct side shot I took of the tail. Hope it helps!

By the way, if you've already answered this, please forgive--but what size do you work in your originals?

Many thanks for sharing your tremendous profiles.

BINGO!! that's it mate! Thanks a lot.

This artwork is based on an old drawing and I used to work at 4500 pixels.
I thought it was enough to print on A3. Lately for many reasons I lifted up the pixels to 6500 pixels. More would create troubles to my laptop
