Just between you and me, I don't think the PKZ-2 would make a very attractive profile

Of course Gradient Meshes give your processor a real beating too!
I'd love to know what was going through the mind of the guy in the bucket.
If he fell out, the last thing to go through his mind would be the two huge propeller bladesI'd love to know what was going through the mind of the guy in the bucket.![]()

Let's see here....world's first helicopter and built in Austria. It was designed as an observation craft and never meant for free flight. It was tethered to cable spools controlled by the ground crew. It could only be used under very calm weather conditions, and the only occasion it got close to any height at all, the prop oscillation (at a height of two meters) caused the ground crew to lose control of the cables. The craft subsequently crashed with damage to the airframe bad enough that it could not be rebuilt and the whole project was scrapped. I don't think it ever had a manned flight. Have I got that about right? You'll notice that the blades are not rotating in the photo. I don't think any observer would have been foolish enough to man the aircraft in actual flight, though you never know. The guys in WW1 were pretty insane. I'm pretty sure the only thing the observer is thinking of is hamburger.

I'^m not sure that one is a fully-fledged helicopter. I hear that vertical landings with this type is not recommended.KC-135 (for a friend who flies 'em)![]()
