    Whats that smell?

Just been sent this in the mail, m8 of mine knows I love the underdog stories and anything aviation.

Is this man the luckiest man or live or the most quick thinking and skilled?

    Let the debate begin.

What ever the outcome he?s in my book of heroes.

    Re: Whats that smell?

The video is fake and part of marketing by a German clothing company named KillaThrill (the name is featured on the side of the plane in the video). The company website is: http://www.killathrill.de/start.action and an explanation is found here: http://www.reggiepaulk.com/2008/10/killathrill-generates-huge-buzz-with.html. It is an interesting video, though. The animation was almost convincing except that after the right wing comes off, the airplane spins in the wrong direction to the left.

Remember, only an F-15 can land on one wing

    Re: Whats that smell?

I should think most broad-bodied aircraft could do it, no? F-15, but also F-14, F/A-18, Su-27, MiG-29? What do you think?

In Warren Bodie's excellent book about the P-47 there are some impressive shots of 'Bolts that made it back after having taken real beatings (flying through threes for example).

Also looks like that Aggresor pilot got a tad too aggressive?

    GM,

You should have seen the other guy (attached)!! I'm reminded of the demonstration flight of the F-14 when Grumman demonstrated the ability to fly at low speed with one wing swept and the other unswept.

    Re: Whats that smell?

I'd seen the other guy already, but it's still very impressive. However, the first one is more impressive as part of the wing and fin are gone. That the Hornet would fly with a blunt nose isn't as surprising.

I've got a better idea, avoid contact, this is not a contact sport, it is a stand off sport, read the rules again gentlemen
Play hard, stay clear, land safe and all is well.
