hi GM,
from this book.![]()
@Revolver: thanks for the link. I found some interesting things. What do you mean exactly? Keep in mind that this is not finished yet: there are several things missing (rear turret, exhaust shrouds, etc.). Is that what you mean or is there something else I am missing.
@John, thanks for pointing that out. I'd started fumbling with it and then went on to something else and completely forgot to correct it. Where d'you get that diagram, BTW?![]()
hi GM,

I considered buying that one as it seemed good but it was just too expensive ($80+ IIRC). Is it worth it?
Another extra bit of work I did yesterday:
I've corrected the spinner. Thanks, John.![]()
very good,
now what about the shape of the engine! do you only look with one eyecheck the image and the drawing for the correct rounded shape of the engine, sorry to be a pain in the butt, it's just that the engine being wrong draws your eye to it
at least you can get your own back on my seahawk![]()

hi GM,
sorry had to go shopping with the wife
anyway here is the link for where i got the book from, a hell of a lot cheaper than you quote,
WWII Heinkel He177 Greif
book is drawing heavy, all text is in japanese. drawings are extracts from original manuals.

I'm still hesitating whether I'm going to buy it. I've already put too much money into books on this and the He 162. I just hope I can sell them later.
I'll look into the engine cowling. I agree that mine is not rounded enough and needs rework, but most plans and drawings show it too rounded. That's also why I chose to represent it with open cowling flaps (which are open most of the time anyway), to make it less rounded.
@Revolver: I will correct the lower part of the rudder as indicated (i.e. slightly recessed from the trim tab) but as for the rest I'm not sure what you mean? The right side and left side of the tail unit and rear turret are not identical as you probably know:

Gamary it go not over rear turret however around sides tail unit down (rudder), then still to it upper tail. And look you exactly like the lattice to pulpits in front are attached, if it around the A-3 or A-5 go. I give you still further infos over He177 "Greif" and look you it exactly.
(Sry my bad english)
Best regards,
R.![]()
Here's another update, with a (slightly too much, IMO ) rounder engine cowling. Nevertheless, I suspect John is right as usual.
@Revolver: I'm afraid I still don't understand what you mean? Perhaps you should also explain in German? I haven't spoken German in some time but maybe I'll understand better?
Notice that I have corrected the lower part of the rudder (near the trim tab).
