    Re: Piper Cub

I knew you'd come in at some point, John.

Glad you like the 47, Aircraftprofiles. I have put quite a bit of time in it. Maybe one day I'll make an actual drawing out of that template.

John, find me a good bubbletop 47 to draw, will ya? And no, not a heavily modified racer that will force me to redesign everything.

I'm working slowly because I only have a 5-day weekend. (This is because I stay at work for 48 hours and then I'm done. We only have breaks for sleeping. Which is great when you want to do other things such as profiles )

Lol! Indeed, those would be awkward hours for teaching. I'm not a teacher yet (and probably never will be), I am a surveillant: I look after the kids (mostly meaning I have to yell at them ) and take care of the boarding house.

Glad you guys like the Cub. I'll try and finish it soon.

So, GM, did you stay with the "piece-by-piece" method, or did you revert back to the "layer-by-layer" method??

Mostly with the piece-by-piece method. I did all of the tailplane in one time, then went on with other things and I'm now finishing with the wing. It doesn't seem too bad but I don't know if it's any faster. It does have some advantages, but other disadvantages compensate for that IMHO. Probably, it's more a question of being used to it or not.

I'll probably need another picture of how the wing struts join at the bottom of the fuselage to be able to finish it. Anybody? (I did a complete walkaround of the aircraft containing more than 150 pictures and even that is not enough... )
