    F4F-3 Wildcat

    Home comp is still down. Started this out of boredom. Figured it was fairly easy and not often done. Suggestions, criticisms, and any additional reference material are always welcome.

    I'm with Goodwood. Great shape. Probably even better than my old F4F-3S.

    Figured it was fairly easy and not often done.
    Unless you do the extended landing gear.

    make sure you get the right one,

    there are 5 different engine cowlings known for this bird

    For now, gear up . Maybe once I feel that it's close to finished, I might attempt extended gear.

    I'm aware of 2, one with the intake on top and one without. After that, I admit I haven't put too much more detailed research into it. If you got pics to show the differences in the 5 designs, I'd appreciate it. I'm currently depicting one of the cowls with the intake. I just haven't added the intake yet. The line drawing I started with depicted it all wrong, making the top stick out past the front of the cowl, instead of stopping before the front edge of the cowl.

    I'm thinking pre-war yellow wing schemes. If only I could find that page/document explaining the color codes.....
