    Today's update. Added the main landing gear, the rudder, shading to the wing, and worked on the cowl.

    I think you might want to refrain from colouring your drawing for the moment. If you don't, you might end up creating shading that will look fine on one camouflage and completely wrong on another. If you do this, you'll have to start over the shading, which is generally one of the toughest things.

    I start with solid 50% grey. It's not perfect and needs twitching once you're finished but I think it's a more convenient and safe way to work.

    I've been working/still working with the 50% grey method. Just decided to add color to todays examples.

    Better? Plan to work on the rudder shading, adding the tail wheel and tail plane tomorrow.

    Today's update. Added the tail wheel assembly, the tail plane assembly with shading, and added shading and detail to the rudder.

    Other than the pitot tube, the number of machine guns, and the folding wings, were there any other external differences between the F4F-3 and F4F-4?
