    Something different...well, not really !

For a while i have been tinking that my profiles lacked a "metal feel" So i thought i would give the F-4 yet another try.
The shading will be done from the ground up, and details will be made from scratch...I have got some pointers from you guy, when doing the RF-4B so i will try and incoperate those in this fighter version.
Hope the extra hours will pay off in the end !

    Hey AP,
Take a look at the shape of the nose. It's a perfectly round pointed cone. Your shading indicates beveled edge ending in horizontal blade-like tip.

Think pointed round cone. The shading lines should diminish to a single point point and the shading should be continuous from top to bottom.
Then you'll have a killer looking F4 nose cone
BTW, I don't envy you or any other F4 profile painter. That plane is FULL of complex contours! You'll really need to do your homework to get it right. Look at as many photos as you can and think those shapes through.

Thanks ! Blowhard: I see your point, and think you are absolutly right ! I have been working on the rendition today, and i think it have been improved but what do you think ?

I have added a new sample, in two versions, one in medium grey and one with a rudimentary USN/USMC camo scheme..

Let me know what you think !

    Thanks

That is better, Aircraftprofiles. Watch your intake lip, too. Yours is curving down at the top, I think you'll find it's fairly straight there with quite a hard edge.

Have to say it looks awfully nice so far aircraft profiles, the nozzles look great too What's going to be your first paintscheme? I'd love to see a VF-111 Sundowners one, always was my favorite for early navy F-4's!

Got some more stuff done on the F-4. The panel lines have been added, some details have been tweeked and some have been added.

Let me know what you think, please !

By the way. I better do a sundowner too...I looked over some photos of the CAG bird on the Roosevelt deployment, and it´s simply too irrestistable !
