    Re: Italian P47 remake

    Santynus,

    These are sooo good!!
Only suggestion I have is to make the angle of the shadow cast by the trailing edge of the wing on the lower fuselage angle the other direction to be consistent with the tail shadow.(Assuming your sun position is high in front of the airplane).

Looking much better Santo! But I would consider taking the shading even further up the fuselage? Do you see on these images how far up the shade goes.

Just one other little thing is that air outlet thing mid way down the fuselage? looks a little bit too dark try and adjust the opacity of the shading so it matches the rest of the aircraft (it stands out a bit too much).

    Other than that well done.

    Re: Italian P47 remake

    Hi santo

The highlight's looked fine, where you've upped it, it's washing out the image now, so go back to where you was with the highlight. It's mainly the shading under the fuselage, especially the engine cowling its' very oval shaped on the real thing so the darker shading at the bottom needs to progress more up towards the centre line of the aircraft. I've found some cross sections on the net (dunno how accurate but should be ok'ish).

Basically the dark fuselage shading should fade from the bottom of the fuselage gradually getting lighter all the way upto where I've drawn the red line on the cross sections. This red line is where the fuselage starts to curve under so therefore from the red line the underside shading should gradually start to get darker.

    Hope this helps?

Well done Santynus! With a little bit of time going back and sorting that problem has lifted you profile to another level. Look how 3D it looks now compared to before and for your future profiles should look just as good. Check out the cross sections to see how the shading should be. Just two things the shading on the cowling looks like it stops towards the back of the cowling should it not continue all the way along (or is there a slight bulge there sorry I dont know the lines of this aircraft very well)? Also the prop spinner should have the same angle highlight as the rest of the aircraft.

    Keep it up mate.
