    Re: Calling all Ki-48 fans

    Gaetan Mon Vieux,

I think you mean John is going to be more unbearable. He already was, aye that he was (calipers et al). However, I still think that the titular bearing of "Grand Excellence and defender of the holy drawings" is worthy of both his munificance and largesse (the latter being a bon mot). In his honour I dedicate this Ki-48 to Sir John,

    Aye lads,

    Mclaring

    Re: Calling all Ki-48 fans

    cough, cough,

i would just like to say thank you for this award,
    i really don't deserve it,
i would like to thank one or two people for their help in making me what i am today, ( who shouted "a bastard" )
i would like to thank my mother and father for doing their thing and creating me,
also my family on my side who slagged of everything i did ( father, bothers, sisters)
my mother for the genes that made me artistic, she was far better than me.
my art teacher at school for believing in me.
my wife who supported everything i did, and pushed me even harder.
skyraider for showing me the ways of the profile artist.
jester for using a hammer to get it into my thick skull.

and last but not least you lot for making mistakes so that i can take the p***.
now to get back to collecting even more drawings of obscure types

oh by the way, very nice profile.

    John,

I think you may have missed my earlier post. I was seeing if you had a detailed line drawing of a B4Y1 Jean for my father. He does his own on paper using pencil and from photographs. He actually is more accurate than a lot of line drawings out there. Anyway, he's done his own C3N1 (actually not that bad of a plane) and recently did a Yokosuka B4Y1 because all the line art he could fine was awful. The best I've found online is also the one I have the hard copy of:

    http://www.combinedfleet.com/ijna/b4y1.gif

Do you have some better line art of the B4Y Jean in your stash?

    Thanks,

    Logan

    Re: Calling all Ki-48 fans

LOL! Pure fluke I just browsed over this forum for a second and see something about Japanese planes.

Good grief... the B4Y1, I have barely heard of it! I will have a look through my Japanese line drawing books this weekend but I doubt I'll find it. Will ask around as I got in contact with a good few Japanese aircraft experts during my work on Japanese Secret Projects. But as a general rule though, if it has more than one set of wings I might not have it!

PS. John, treat any Shigeru Nohara drawing with extreme caution. Despite all the impressive looking dimensions he often puts in there, they are often far off. For the Ki-83 I'd definitely go with the Matsuba Minoru drawings instead.

Thanks for looking, guys. Let me know if you come up with something. It looks like someone's finally found a stumper! And a service aircraft, no less!

    Cheers,

    Logan
