Re: Junkers Ju-52 aka "Tante Ju".

Cool! Yes there have been some strange attachments popping up in Ebay pics on LEMB on Ju52's. Good for markings/emblems also lots of scope. Personally I'd like to see one with the massive circular maritime radar thingy, like on some Bv138's.

    HI guys,

Thanks for posts and suggestions. Of course the details of every wave of the metal is not there I have just one nerves and one pair of eyes maybe later.
But the basics will have to do for the purpose it has...

Clint, this wasn't a radar! It was a minesweeper! A generator produced a magnetic field. So seamines were destoyed! BTW a very dangerous job!

I plan to do some MS Ju 52s of the MSGr 1 for my book, that will deal with Danube mining operations...Need to find out some camos yet, but the template would be ready for me ha

here is the detail you requested...not exactly what it should look like...but the close approximation possibly is there

    Hi Peter!

Looks good! How large will the profile been printed? It makes no sence to do hundreds of details if all get lost because the profile is very small in the book.

BTW: Very interesting subject! Any details when the book will be ready?

    Cheers,

    Hi Baron

The profile will be on A4 printed, as a part of article of Tunisia battles. So it will have 20 cm in length...no sense to do some details
But the template will be done as best as possible for future usage..

Book is a different one..It is in preparation. I hope in two/three years...I am putting together info on 205 Group RAF operations, ORBs of Squadrons are on their way...So it is getting some shape, but slowly.

Will inform community , for sure, when it is ready

    regards

Nice Peter! Just the highlights on the nacelle's are showing up a little bit high (opacity) at the moment IMO. Where did you source your RLM70/71 from? Also is that the standard factory splinter or referenced from a photo?

    hi clint,

dont let the ju52 camouflage confuse you, it had all sorts of combinations, the one above is more like the 70/02 version the old lady spanned a lot of years doing sterling work for the luftwaffe and recieved many coats in doing so, from Spain till the end and then some.
