Hmm the colors are a matter of discussion ... There is too much different references to rlm 70/71... Can we establish the correct ones here on forum?
So we all can stick to one colors?

And yes, te highlight is bit to much on engine..will drop it down a bit.

Re: Junkers Ju-52 aka "Tante Ju".

This is I think a good idea but I do not think we will ever all agree. I still think that they are a lot more grey than green and I still don't know if I'm happy with my Ju88 colours yet. It's strange that everyone on LEMB thought that the simmers swatches were the closest with the 71 needing to be just a little bit darker. There should be hardly any contrast between the 70/71 IMO.

Did you see this: Interesting article on the matter

    hi pkassak,

trying to establish exact 70/71 colours is like trying to knit fog, 70 is not to bad because it was stable but 71 is a pain in the backside.
now trying to determine what colours are used from a black and white photo is going to be nearly impossible, even more so with the ju52, i can show you image that will have you pulling your hair out trying to decide if it is 70/71 or 70/02 or 72/73 or plain 70 or three tone spanish colours or late war greens, we just don't know the two classic books make me laugh because people think they are 100% correct, they ain't, they are at best educated guesswork.
what we need is a time machime, so i can go back and get the facts

    Yep,

I saw your posting on LEMB... Nice effort,
but the historians never pay attention to shades of green so much than artists as we on Simmers are
So this should be the establishing board

    John:
Sure the time machine will work. But in the case of having it I would not scratch the samples of colors from a/c...I would fly one back home HAHHAHA, I know they would try to stop me, but the Sturmovich training is good one
and of course the color on photos under different condition is tricky to establish. So that is why I am happy with any colors similar to the desired ones We always can say it is different sunshine

Well a lot of them were more modellers and I would expect them to be just as finicky as us profile artists.

    yup thats the one,

now guys this was done for a base for profilers to work from, it is and never was meant to be 100% accurate, just something we could all work from, looking at it now i don't like it very much, perhaps i should do it again with all you guys and see what we come up with

I would be well up for that. But again differing monitors come into it. But I suppose all of us checking them out could help us come to an agreement. I think a good way to go would be someone scanning the K. Merrick paint chips apparently from the original company who created the WW2 RLM paints Willkommen auf der Startseite? Scan them on a proper calibrated scanner and then change/alter them to suit?
