Re: Accurate Aircraft Paint & Colour Discussions

    You are right.
At the other hand new counties and occupied countries started building up their army in 1945 allready. Often using ww2 material in original colors, but also using their own paint. A bit hard to draw a line there.
Besides there allways will be difficulties, since colors were added and removed from lists all the time.

I think I'll add the forums sunday.

Re: Accurate Aircraft Paint & Colour Discussions

Yes I know that Norway and Denmark used British planes in RAF colours in the late 40's. later on they were repainted in their new paintscheme. I'm sure it was like that in many other countries too.

Another thing Serval, I've tracked down the special green colour used by the Danish military today. Is there a place or room for that one?

Re: Accurate Aircraft Paint & Colour Discussions

    I have added the forums.
For now no forums per country. I decided to use Prefixes for the Countries.
You will be able to select the right prefix when posting a new Thread.

When the discussions become really many, I'll add more forums.
    Suggestions are still welcome.

To answer Loke's question. Ofcourse they are welcome.
Since we started off as a ww2 forum, we only have these colors, but colorsets for allare are welcome. I see that also as part of the discussions we'll have.

Maybe we can start with the colors on this site?
Unless someone has a better source for (some of) the colors.

That is a very good idea and thought about it before as being a good place to start.
