    Dear Supah,

in my photos you'll see some explanations.
I hope I can help you with it.

    Good evening friends,

this is my 'Gustav', without engine cover.
One sees clearly the oil tank behind the spinner.

Good night and a good Sunday your...

    Re: Gustav sechs

A have several photos that clearly show a gap at the top of the spinner. Here's one. Yet in looking at the partially stripped front end although there is no cover plate as in Heli's restoration shots this should not be possible as there is at least a ring around the front of the oil tank that has to extend into the spinner. Anyone got an explanation for the abberations? Is it possible to operate the aircraft without that piece?

    otter and heli,

sorry guys but otter's drawing is correct, heli's photo shows the spinner back plate not the cover over the oil tanks

    Hello otterkins2,

the gap in the first photo I can not explain.

The drawing is very good, but it is missing some lines.

    Greetings!

PS: I would like to see if I can find better pictures in my archive.

    Re: Gustav sechs

    Hi friends,

at and around the oil tank is located a rubber gasket.
It covers the gap between the spinner and cowling completely.

Then I also did not care
