Great...exactly what this joint needs, another 109 nut.![]()
A have several photos that clearly show a gap at the top of the spinner. Here's one. Yet in looking at the partially stripped front end although there is no cover plate as in Heli's restoration shots this should not be possible as there is at least a ring around the front of the oil tank that has to extend into the spinner. Anyone got an explanation for the abberations? Is it possible to operate the aircraft without that piece?
Oh, and just to get even more confusing here's a factory drawing. So....which is it???

sorry guys but otter's drawing is correct, heli's photo shows the spinner back plate not the cover over the oil tanks![]()
