    C-47 Dakota

Talk about a legendary aircraft... Arguably the most important design in aviation's history. Meaning I'd better not mess it up.

I'm quite certain of the shape, as Airliners.net has about a trillion pictures of the bird, including many good side-shots. Comments welcome.

Hey Gaetan, just cuz you made a start on all of these projects, dont go to say you have dibs on all of them lolololol Be nice to see some of these finished, unlike my own list of "unfinished" projects lol.

    Gaetan,

alors, bon chance avec ca plan. its a difficult but bewtiful aircraft - each one seems to have its own character. here's one I did a while back (5th Air Force of course). I'll be watching your project with anticipation and doubtless offering critique along the way,

    Re: C-47 Dakota

How many project do you have at this or a similar stage of development?

Seems a lot. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

We did it as well some time ago...I know too much light, but I am lazy to adjust it now

Another quibble...the nose looks a little flat-sided in front of the cockpit. Broaden the highlight?

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'll be working on it this afternoon again and I'll try to correct the points you addressed.

@John: the entire nacelle, or just the upper lip of the engine cowling? I'll re-check it against the photos anyway.

@GFR aand Jesters: fewer than it might seem. I've finished the P-40, C-46, Lancaster and CG-4. The B-17 is on hold, the P-38 and P-61 were only supposed to be "pods", but were done in a way that makes it possible to finish the rest later when needed. Are you thinking of something specific? Aside from these, the only unfinished project I can think of is the T-6 which I started years ago. If ever I go back to it, I will start from scratch so it's not really unfinished (just scrapped).

Not meant as a criticism, more an observation on how prolific you have been these past few months.

Indeed...I am the last person to criticize somebody for not finishing their work, on last cout I have more than a dozen pieces that I havent gotten around to finishing.
