Thread: C-47 Dakota

    Re: C-47 Dakota

It should be the same amount of curvature on the upper and lower part of the cowling, and I'd add a little more curve to the bottom part and then flip/rotate that for the upper.

    Re: C-47 Dakota

Not meant as a criticism, more an observation on how prolific you have been these past few months.
Don't worry: it wasn't taken as such. I have been pretty prolific lately (sounds like a rabbit ) because this is slowly becoming a second job for me (thought not one that's making me rich ). I'm lucky enough to have a normal job that leaves me plenty of time for drawing, so I often spend 40+ hours every week on profiles. I'm sure if I had a normal job I wouldn't be able to do as much.

And I had 6 weeks of holiday. (aka free time for profiles).

One wonders why my girl hasn't left me.

The nose has been corrected (thanks, Jarink!) and I've modified the engine nacelle. The cowling is now correct and symetrical, and the rear part of the nacelle is rounder.

I've also started detailing the engine and fin, and part of the wing. Once that is finished, I'll attack the fuselage.

    GM,
Soooo nice!! Here's a couple of shots taken by a very dear friend who recently passed away. He was an avid photographer during the war and was a Goonie tow pilot on D-Day. Later he had the good fortune to visit the German bases of advanced aircraft where he took many, many photos, including Arados, Me-262s (including the glass-nosed version), TA-152s, etc. His family has given his collection to the USAF Museum at Wright Pat.

If you want higher-res shots, email me.
