Re: Growler
AP, here's the pickiest input you'll get on this one: In addition to putting the fence on the upper wing of the E/A-18G, the wing "snag" line(wing chord discontinuity at the outer fold line) was modified so it is no longer parallel to the fuselage centerline. The inner edge is triangular in plan view--which will show in the wing shadow in your profile.
Keep it coming!

Re: Growler
It looks better on the update. Have you reworked it, or is it just the added reflections? I think it might be due to the frames. They seems to stick out and are too thick IMO. Perhaps you could show us a close-up shot?
It looks very good in any case.

Re: Growler
Vacajun: I see what you mean ! The dogtooth is different from a E/F model. Thanks for that info, i havenīt noticed that myself !
Gamary: I have just added a few reflections. I will add a closeup shot when i have some more work done on it. BTW: Did you received the photos ?

Re: Growler
Hereīs some samples of the Growler print iīm working on. As you can tell from the detail shot, itīs not quite finished but itīs getting there.
How do you like the layout (the text is just something i came up with from the top of my head. itīll not doubt be replaced) ?

Re: Growler
Thanks for the close-up.
I think it's the central frame that's troubling me. Its top part doesn't seem parallel to the canopy itself, and since it's a bit higher then the glass, it looks like a "kink" when viewed from a distance. The unusual ("geometric") reflections on the glass also make give a peculiar impression.
It is looking pretty d**n cool aside from this nit-picking.

Re: Growler
I think you should consider adding some AGM 88 Harms under the wings and some AIM 120s to the fuselage stations.

Re: Growler
fritzie: would have done that if it wasnīt commissioned work
The AIM-120 would probably not be visible since the tank and the jamming pod would be in the way.
Harms on the outboard polyn would look pretty sweet i think....They will go on the upcoming Growler prints i make (i think)

Re: Growler
Your probably right about the Amraams but harms would be cool.I recently read an article about the Growler school and the Harms and Aim 120s seem to be pretty standard in all the photos.
