sorry but i have to do this, your underwing lighting is to strong, i knew it looked wrong but i waited until i found a photoyes i know its a model but the lighting effect will be the same

Hmmm, I think the fact that the wings are canvas and let quite a bit of light through (even though they have a dark dope on the top) would affect the under wing lighting more. I have seen it in real life, sorry John, a model just doesn't cut it, but I am open to suggestion, what do the rest of you world war 1 fan think? BH?![]()
Tricky one as I've seen a/c with the light shining through, but if there is a paint covering on the upper wing it would block some of the light depending on how thick the paint is.
However if the light is going through then the underside shading should be more consistent, either way (and depending on how much work is involved in going back over everything) the underside isn't quite right.
What Ink saysBut my 2 cents is that those wings are pretty high and I think there would be enough light coming in to diffuse that shadow some. But what you've got on there looks ok to me
