Well, guess who was hiding in the shadows? Hi EB-Hayley. How's the B-29 progressing? (You thought I'd forget, heh?)Watch it John!!!!! .... for your information..... we have 1 red rat snake and 1 grey and black anerthyristic!![]()
Well...... I haven't had time to do any drawing for a while so the B-29 and my DC-3 are on hold..... I have been busy studying and working. The completion date for my current course is July. So after that who knows I may get back into drawing.. I guess we'll see.
Supah - Anerthryristic is a red rat (corn) snake without any red ... lol she is just grey and black with a hint of yellow.
I hope you will. Good luck with study and work until then.I guess we'll see.![]()
A question for Andy . . . You say (and I also see on the Drome they also say) that Browns camel was Bentley Powered. Were the Bentley powered Camels limited to the single gun in the hump or were some still fitted with 2?
Its just that all the Bentley examples that I have found so far have just the one gun in the nose and the Lewis on the top wing.
I dont have any good photographs of Bentley Br3 Camels, so if you could find time to send me some, that would help me out no end? Other than that, I am stuck with Browns and cant move on with it.
Hi Jesters
All F.1 Camels had two Vickers guns. The 2F.1 also had the Bentley engine (as well as Clerget) but only had a single Vickers, plus a Lewis on an Admiralty Mount, firing over the top wing. There were quiite a few other differences between the F.1 and 2F.1, which I can bore you with - if you're interested :-)
I'll see if I can dig out some Bentley Camel photos to show you the differences between that and the Clerget installation ...
