Re: Help a newbie to create some cockpit graphics :)

Yep, Spit is black metal, matt or semi gloss black, pretty smooth. The 109 is smooth at well. I'm pretty sure earlier planes were metal but later 109 panels were painted plywood, but again, smooth, no wood grain. 109s are tricky, some panels are black, some are RLM 02 and later panels are RLM 66. I believe Es would have black panels and I think some G were RLM 02, but maybe just Tropical versions? I did research way back when I was doing cockpits but I can't remember how it works out. There are a few 109 experts here to be sure! But where are they???

I did google them. I even bought this book. I'm just struggling to find a nice texture which I could use.

Hmm I have a question about smart objects in Photoshop. Since all of my instruments share the same "circle frame" I have it in a separate document (rings.psd) and add it as a smart object to all psd documents using it (File>Place) I thought that when I edit then the rings.psd document, all other documents which reference it would update their version but it does not see to be the case
