Re: RoF Albatros D.V-D.Va a new "Johannisthal Mod" in the works

    Thanks for the concern Dave!
I was kind of drained out of inspiration lately and the project kind of stalled...
Apparently, I've discovered an error in my RoF D.V hack.
I had those bottom wing access hatches eliminated from the D.V, assuming that they were
    aileron cable inspection hatches...
but a magnification of Theodore Rumpel's Jasta 16b machine, revealed that the hatches were actually present
and painted sky blue like the rest of the lower wing.
    Don't you see them too?

Anyhow, I've restored them back... and been experimenting more with colours.

I made a brand new footstep, as RoF's default one was totally wrong.

I tried this colour variation from Aero Concervacy for the metal primer
and tried a new dark green for the upper camo after extended discutions with my friend Olham, from Germany...

What do you think of the changes?

Nice stuff! I like the looks of olive green rather than the blue-ish green on you new one, but "likes" don't mean much
I have several photos from the Conservancy showing that color too, I like
    aileron cable inspection hatches
They could be bare metal too but blue is a good guess. Weird they didn't get painted with the wing root.
    Nice stuff.
I'm thinking of starting the conversion from D.V to D.III next

Thanks for the response and encouragement, Dave!
How about something in between the 'olivish' and the 'bluish' greens,
like the one from TAWM Albatros restoration project?

They have also painted the underwing hatches in sky blue like the rest of the wing...
