Is any of it photographic? Parts of the gloves, face and helmet look like partial photos. Not that there is anything wrong with using photos, I'm just interested on how other people do figures.
It looks really nice by the way![]()

Hi Blowhard,
It is difficult for me to express in english. I hope that my english is correct.
Yes and no. This is a new challenge for me. I would like my drawing looks like a photo. The photo (private collection) that I have is of poor quality. Has the opposite of what I was doing before, I worked directly detail by detail, trying to put a correct whole. It’s not that easy to keep cohesion in the shadows. In addition, I lack color documentation of the equipment (flashlight, knife…) on the life jacket. Apart from my other drawings in progress, this is what I am idle.
A lot of time for few words, a little less to draw, no!
Thanks all,
Phil
I understandI agree it's hard pulling enough reference from a poor quality photo..
FAST AND BULBOUS!
Hello,
Crash of the F4U-7 corsair BuAer 133823 57.S.50 of SM Lacroix on April 20th, 1960 in Khouribga.
Sorry, the history of the crash is in French under the drawing. My english is... terrible.

I agree, very nice. Looks good as is but is there a photo showing the crashsite?
Don't know how much hassle this would be but perhaps slide canopy back and apply damage/rip off the under fuselage aerials/bits?
It doesn't really need it but I thought it might add a bit more to the event you are portraying. Good stuff Phillipe!![]()
