OK, now it's time for a self portrait

Portraits... I am trying to think back whether I have ever attempted a portrait at all. I cannot recall one. So that would be some completely new territory, for certain.

I must say that working with the physical media is far more enjoyable that I had expected, coming from 15 years of computer based raster painting. Those first few paintings, I often worried how I would handle the workflow during the painting without layers, undo, and such. But ultimately those things just didn't matter as much as I thought they did.

I won't sit here and say that I'll never paint with my Wacom/GIMP/Photoshop again. This media is pretty enjoyable, though!
