Which ever version (think I'm on v5), really don't need the latest latest version as 95% of the features aren't used and it depends on your working methods. I always do my line work, vector masks and markings in Illustrator, though everyone else is different.

Around Christmas time Adobe switched off the activation servers for the CS2 series of software. They released a version that did not require activation anymore.

Please see this Adobe page here.

It appear that you can download the non activation required version of Photoshop CS2 from here.

    Also Adobe Illustrator CS2 here.

    Might be worth a try?

Have you seen the latest news that they're scrapping the current update system and licensing and moving over to a subscription service, think it's £40 a month or something. Don't know if you'll still be able to get a stand alone license for a single fee though, not looked into it in too much detail.

Yes I have Adobe CC (Creative Cloud). I'm unsure of how this works really but it appears that the latest version of CS6 might be the last standalone version. For years they have been trying several different ways to stop people cracking the software. All have failed within weeks of release. I suspect this cloud based subscription way of doing things is a fail safe way of ensuring that users actually pay for their software. Paying an everlasting £40 a month for the privilege to use a software package is a pi$$take if you ask me and I hope standalone versions will still be available. But to be honest I've not looked into it much. Whatever video tutorials on the new service I've watched tend to feature and be aimed at large über trendy Design Häuses in New York. For example how Torsten the Swedish freelancer can seamlessly work on projeckts using the same fonts a Ziggy based at the New York office.

Just tell me what it does will you.

Interesting perhaps Adobe really thinks everyone can afford this. Better buy CS6 whilst you can guys....

Not a fan of this route at all and think they have been listening to the wrong people. A bit like the next gen of some console having to be on line all the time and when the CEO was challenged about areas with slow or poor connections basically said don't lice there and F you.

Adobe now own the design market and have us over a barrel sadly.

Rip off, new US customer $49.99, new UK customer £46.88 which equates to around $73 per month, so that's $156 or £101 more per year, nice.

But then European prices have always been higher for some reason.

    Re: What Photoshop program

It surprises me that they haven't got a special UK price of $89.99. We tend to pay even more above the odds than the rest of Europe. And yes it's a complete disgrace that there is a significant difference in price. They have got us by the balls and they know it. They should never have been allowed to buy Macromedia. They have now got a blatant monopoly over the creative industry.
