Good stuff guy's. I think my Logitech mouse that's just died was older than that, 2001 I think.... Anyway my mouse has got cobwebs on it these days. Graphics Tablet and you'll never look back, trust me. Thinking of jacking the mouse in altogether for an Apple trackpad soon.![]()
You've got to be kidding me. That's upper-end by my standards! My kit is an aging i7 950 on an equally old MB with a meager 12gig of ram.
10T's of HDD and SDD does kinda give it some legs though.
I use a low-end Dell which I bought in 2009, with 320 GB of HD and 2 GB of RAM. I have a decent mouse (I have a Wacom tablet which I use sometimes but I never really got the hang of it) and also a decent screen. Of course, I have Windows XP which I still consider as the best OS around and will be keeping it for as long as I can. If I must, I'll move up to 7 but I absolutely hate Vista and 8.
I am considering the luxury of upgrading to 2 x 2GB, although XP will only handle 3 or 3.5 GB. That'd still be an 50 or 75% improvement.
People have been bugging me about Macs for years and a friend even wants to give me his, but I'm the kinda guy who keeps stuff as long as it's working.
As far as colours are concerned, I use an entry-level calibration probe. Given the everlasting debates about aircraft paints, I don't feel that perfect screen/printer calibration is that much of an issue...![]()
