I love the template - P-39's have never seemed very attractive to me as presented in-game but your version is a beauty. But, oh, man, where did you get the brilliant idea of plopping those magazines in the cockpit? I mean, did they even *have* Mayfair magazine in 1942?

I've been doing silly lil things like that since the start Vig.
I'm looking for new ideas al the time though.
The mags were also in my Betty template (they were Playboy) these are FHM.

Notice the Mae West on the F4F? That was me

My first Mig template had a "If you can read this, you are too close" in the back of the cockpit.

    Anything silly goes.

This sorta thing will really come to life if/when we get the 2048 x 2048 voids.

Re: I know its an old plane but . . .

Can you make one or two british ones? Back in Il-2 1.XX it was my favorite ride, the P-39. It was rather difficult to get kills with online and it had very nasty stall habits. But once you master it, you master any aircraft in the game. I was lucky to have two or three kills in one night of Hyperlobby. Once I took the 1942 Yak9(d?) for a spin and I got 9 kills in 1,5 hour 9!!!! kills. Flying hard aircraft makes you better

I really like what you did with the diffrent access hatches, making them to pop-out a bit more. I like the (pin-up?) magazines in the back of the cockpit as well. Pretty extensive stencilling as well. Can U do a bit of weathering? Dirt, oil, paint chips and so on...

Re: I know its an old plane but . . .

I get so washed out just doing the template that weathering doesn't always get done. Most skinners like to do their own anyway. (Or is that coz mine is pants?)
There is cammo and markings for British, American, Russian and a metal layer for peeps to play with. How much of this will get removed to bring the size down I don't know yet.

Never really had any problems flying this plane, she is fast as hell and her prototype was the fastest plane in the world at the time.
She turns well and carries a big stick. She can't be modelled correctly coz I love her. Mashed a 190 with her in Spits V's 109's today with no loss.

For those that are interested, my Tempest template is almost ready and should be ready for when the patch is out.

Hmm, the same problem happens here. Only 1/4 of the screenshot appear.

But I can see it's a top quality work as usual m8

Btw, it's a great idea of having small touches like the magazine etc. How about this one: "Don't follow me, Im lost too"?

I never really had any problems with the P-39 also but it just isn't a quick furrball fighter to me, especially in the earlier Il-2 versions, before FB. But the engine in the back makes it a beautifull plane indeed!! Anyways, I don't fly much online nowadays. So I don't know how it compares to other aircraft. It was for a long time the only B&Z aircraft the Red side had.
