Very nice! The weaponry and other loads gives it a nice +. May I ask what size your files are (both pixels and Mo)? Just out of curiosity.

Re: General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon

Nearly choked ready that.... lol Since I have a low-end computer, I limit myself to 30 cm width at 300 dpi (3500-some px) and the I-16 was nearly 40 Mo which means my computer was VERY slow handling it. I really should buy a new computer or more memory at least.

Anyway, your F-16 is a beauty. Congratulations.

Well my PC doesnt enjoy opening and saving this one either but it is still manageable It could probably be done smaller but then detail would be harder to draw. Thanks for the kind words! I really like the look of the I-16 and the weathering is very nice

Re: General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon

My attempt at a 10,000px image failed as my PC couldn't cope. Think it was all that RAM expended keeping the "undo" versions was the problem. And saving, particularly if I had a photo reference imbedded, took so long Psh would stop responding and lock up the computer. So it was back to 3000 max

But looking at your effort the extra pixels are well worth it. Sensational. Great shading too for what is a complex shape.

Thanks David! I am operating on 3 GB of DDR2 RAM atm. It also helps to set photoshop to use multiple HDDs as scratchdisks when handling large files. In the end I guess its a good practice never to work beyond what you want to print anyway

You mean my 450 Mb aren't enough? One day I'll be rich and buy a better machine, even if I have to knock an old lady over and steal her purse to do so... lol

I'm very interested in the "setting PS to use multiple HDDs as scratchdisks" bit as it would logically improve performance. Can any version do that or is it recent ones only (I'm on v 7.0 IIRC)?
