We probably will need to make landings like that in BoB some day.![]()
But I think it is harder to do in a flightsim then in real life.
I've seen these in larger planes, like airliners, but not many in Cessnas. Looks like it was tough to keep on the centerline.

That was tuff to watch. Would have been nice to see an external veiw of it though.
Oh that looks like one of my landings!I have actually got quite good a x-wind landings now as our airfield only has the one runway like the one in the vid so I get to practice them quite a lot. It can seem kinda weird having the nose of the plane pointing 20 degrees off runway heading when on final, and as with the plane in the vid, that is also the time when you hit all the rough air stirred up by buildings and trees so you do end up fighting with the controls a bit. The thing to remember is that when you straighten up the plane with the rudder, the rudder will cause the plane to roll so you have to counter it with opposite aileron. The work load can get quite high as on final you are trying to keep the plane on centre line and manage the speed and decent rate while flying thru bumpy air
Can get quite entertaining sometimes.

Entertaining?
More like a little un nerving......![]()
